Honu Mini Springsuit - Reef-Brown
The Honu is Abysse's kids springsuit for warm water. Short sleeves and a short leg cut give little surfers maximum freedom of movement, in a second-skin fit that stays in place through every wave. Designed for warm coastal conditions and tropical trips from toddler through to age 11.
Made with 2mm limestone neoprene, sourced from calcium carbonate, not petroleum. Softer, lighter, and more flexible than conventional neoprene. A back-zip entry makes it easy for kids to get in and out independently.

Fit note

What age is each size?
Size 1 fits most children aged 12–18 months. Size 2 fits 2–3 years. Size 4 fits 4–5 years. Size 6 fits 6–7 years. Size 8 fits 8–10 years. Children grow at different rates, so we recommend checking height against the size guide above for the most accurate fit.
What is the difference between the Honu and Humu springsuits?
The Honu has short arms and a short leg cut, ideal for the warmest conditions where maximum freedom of movement is the priority. The Humu has long arms and a short leg cut, offering more upper body warmth and sun protection while keeping leg freedom.
What is the difference between the Humu springsuit and the Nai'a fullsuit?
The Humu is a springsuit with long sleeves and a short leg cut, designed for warm water. The Nai'a is a full wetsuit with full sleeves and full leg coverage, providing more warmth for slightly cooler water conditions.
How should a kids wetsuit fit?
It should feel snug all over with no baggy areas, especially at the lower back and neck. A wetsuit that is too loose will let water in and reduce warmth. A small amount of restriction when dry is normal, it softens once in the water.
Is this neoprene safe for children?
Yes. Our mini wetsuits are made with limestone-based neoprene, sourced from calcium carbonate rather than petroleum. It is softer and more flexible than conventional neoprene, making it comfortable for children during extended wear.
Does this wetsuit offer sun protection?
The neoprene fabric provides natural coverage for the areas it covers. For exposed skin, we recommend applying sunscreen before sessions.
How do I care for a kids wetsuit?
Rinse with fresh water after every session. Dry away from direct sunlight. Close any Velcro tabs before storing to protect the lining and seams.
Can I machine wash this wetsuit?
No. Machine washing damages neoprene. Always hand rinse with fresh cold water only.

I did a LOT of research before I purchased wetsuits for my children. I was nervous about these because of the price point and so many mixed reviews about other wetsuit brands. The customer service here is absolutely phenomenal and everyone was so kind in answering my questions and patient as I made my decision.
I ended up purchasing 4 Mini Suits and a short suit for myself.
These suits are fabulous!!!! Easy to get on, easy to get off and absolutely perfect for my children swimming in unheated pools in Hawaii. They are now using them for swim lessons in a 83F pool which is very cold for their thin frames. They are content and happy in their mini suits!
What an absolute game changer my adult wetsuit has been for me as well. I have always loved to snorkel, but when my mom and dad got cold on our recent vacation I stayed out because I was warm and happy! I only wish I had this suit when I was growing up!
We will be returning for more suits as my children grow. I’m sure I’ll be purchasing one for my husband too- so excited you have a men’s line now since I also have 3 growing boys!

I got this for my 15-month-old for our trip to Baja, and it was perfect! It kept her warm while playing on the beach and splashing in the water, and the neoprene felt super soft and high-quality. She technically fit into a size 1, but the size 2 was snug enough to do its job while still giving her room to grow (she’s 23 lbs and 31”). Highly recommend!

I was a little hesitant to spend the $ on something she would grow out of quickly but I’m soo glad I did. The spring suit keeps her warmer for longer at the beach and in the shore break. It’s also nice quality, easy on/off, and so stinkin cute. We get compliments every time she wears it. Purchased a size 2 - fits well with a little room to grow. I think a size 1 might have been too tight. She’s 32” tall and 24lbs currently.

These are made very well and I loved the unique color options. They do run a bit small. I’d recommend ordering a size up! This is our 2 1/2 year old wearing size 4.
