Abysse Wetsuit Warranty
At Abysse, we take great pride in the quality of every wetsuit we create. Each suit is crafted from premium Yamamoto Japanese limestone neoprene and carefully constructed to deliver exceptional comfort, flexibility, and durability.
We stand behind our craftsmanship. If you believe your wetsuit has a manufacturing defect, we're here to help.
Our Warranty
Abysse warrants its wetsuits against defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use for 12 months from the date of purchase.
If, after inspection, we determine that your wetsuit has a manufacturing defect, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the wetsuit where possible;
- Replace the wetsuit with the same model (or the closest available equivalent if no longer available); or
- Offer store credit if a repair or replacement is not possible.
The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the defect and the condition of the product.
What Is Covered
Examples of manufacturing defects may include:
- Seam construction failures under normal use
- Delamination resulting from a manufacturing defect
- Defective zippers or zipper components
- Material defects present at the time of manufacture
- Faults in workmanship that affect the performance of the wetsuit
All warranty claims are assessed individually by our team.
What Is Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, or improper care. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Fingernail or jewellery punctures
- Tears caused by rocks, reefs, surfboards, fins, Velcro, or sharp objects
- Abrasion from concrete, asphalt, or rough surfaces
- Damage caused by forcing the zipper or using the zipper to pull the wetsuit into place
- Damage caused by incorrect storage, excessive heat, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
- Machine washing, tumble drying, bleach, harsh detergents, or improper cleaning
- Chlorine damage or fading caused by repeated pool use
- Cosmetic fading or natural ageing of colours and materials
- Normal compression or softening of neoprene over time
- Repairs or alterations performed by anyone other than Abysse or an authorised repair service
- Damage resulting from commercial, rental, or instructional use
Premium Materials
Premium Yamamoto limestone neoprene is exceptionally soft and flexible by design. While this provides outstanding comfort and freedom of movement, it also requires appropriate care.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Please email our Customer Care team with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photographs showing the area of concern
- A photograph of the entire wetsuit
Additional photos or inspection of the wetsuit may be required before a warranty decision can be made.
If your claim is approved based on the photographs submitted, Abysse will provide a prepaid shipping label to send your wetsuit to us for inspection. If a claim cannot be approved from photos alone and further physical inspection is required, shipping arrangements will be discussed with you directly. If the claim is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, Abysse will also cover the return shipping of the repaired or replacement wetsuit.
Warranty Assessment
Every warranty claim is carefully reviewed by our team. Our goal is always to provide a fair outcome while ensuring that genuine manufacturing defects are resolved promptly.
Consumer Rights
This warranty is provided in addition to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
