Description

Clark is designed to move with you. Full sleeves, full-length legs, and a second-skin feel that keeps you comfortable from the first paddle to the last wave. Built for mild to warm water conditions, it offers light warmth without ever feeling heavy or restrictive.

Made with Yamamoto limestone neoprene, sourced from calcium carbonate, not petroleum. Softer, lighter, and more heat-efficient than conventional neoprene. Flatlock-stitched seams maximise stretch and comfort for warmer sessions. A back-zip entry makes it easy to get in and out before and after the water.

Key details

  • 2/2mm Yamamoto limestone neoprene
  • Flatlock seams for maximum flexibility in mild to warm conditions
  • Recycled internal lining from post-consumer plastic bottles
  • Back-zip entry
  • Recommended water temperature: 64–72°F (18–22°C)

Fit note
The 2/2mm Clark is made with a very stretchy neoprene. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing down. Wetsuits should feel snug with no gaps at the lower back or neck.

Water temperature — 2/2mm Clark

A 2mm wetsuit is ideal for water temperatures between 64–72°F (18–22°C). This covers warm-summer and tropical sessions — California, Hawaii, Australia, Bali.

Need more warmth? → Clark 3/3mm (58–66°F) · Clark 4/3mm (50–58°F) · Clark 5/4mm (below 50°F)

Fit & Thickness Helper

Choosing your size

Clark fullsuits are designed to fit snugly for warmth and performance.

  • Choose your usual wetsuit size
  • 2/2mm: very stretchy — a close fit is recommended
  • 3/3mm, 4/3mm & 5/4mm: slightly firmer — if between sizes, consider sizing up
  • A snug feel when dry is normal and softens once wet

Choosing your thickness

Clark is available in 2/2mm, 3/3mm, 4/3mm, and 5/4mm, offering progressive warmth.

  • 2/2mm → 64–72°F / 18–22°C — mild water, warmer sessions, maximum flexibility
  • 3/3mm → 58–66°F / 14–19°C — cooler water, everyday use, thermal lining on body panels
  • 4/3mm → 50–58°F / 10–14°C — cold water, winter surf, GBS seams + thermal lining
  • 5/4mm → below 50°F / below 10°C — very cold water, maximum insulation

Choose lighter thicknesses for flexibility, thicker options for maximum warmth.

FAQ

Which thickness is the Clark 2/2mm for?
The Clark 2/2mm is designed for water temperatures between 64–72°F (18–22°C). It provides light insulation with maximum flexibility, ideal for warmer sessions, tropical surf, and active water sports where stretch matters most.

What is Yamamoto neoprene?
Yamamoto neoprene is made from calcium carbonate derived from limestone, not petroleum. It is softer, lighter, and more flexible than conventional neoprene, and has a lower environmental impact. Abysse uses Yamamoto limestone neoprene across the Clark range.

What is ECOPRENE?
ECOPRENE is Abysse's proprietary material system combining Yamamoto limestone neoprene with recycled bottle linings. It is designed as a lower-impact alternative to petroleum-based wetsuits without compromising warmth or flexibility.

Does the 2/2mm Clark have thermal lining?
No. The Clark 2/2mm uses a standard recycled lining — it is designed for mild conditions where maximum stretch and lightweight feel are the priority. Thermal lining is featured in the 3/3mm, 4/3mm, and 5/4mm versions.

Does Clark feel restrictive in thicker versions?
Clark is designed to maintain comfort and mobility across all thicknesses. High-movement areas, shoulders and arms, remain flexible even in the 5/4mm.

How do I care for my Clark wetsuit?
Rinse with fresh water after every session. Dry away from direct sunlight. Close the Velcro tabs before storing to protect the lining and seams.

Is Clark suitable for activities other than surfing?
Yes, Clark is designed for surfing, SUP, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, foiling, open-water swimming, snorkelling, and scuba diving.

    Pretty in Pink

Love my new wet suit and can't wait to take it for a spin in July. The look and feel are spectacular, comfortable to get in and out of, so far this is a 12/10 for me.

    Like butter going on

Love this suit. I am a big fan of bright colors but am also curvy on the hips and chest and have large calves. I have tried many wetsuits and decided, after seeing other hippy women in the reviews, to bite the bullet. Very happy I did! Not only is it environmentally friendly but it is soft and easy to get on.

The softest, most comfy wetsuit I’ve worn

This suit is SO soft. Usually when the water gets colder, I dread putting on a full suit because my movement is restricted and it just feels uncomfortable. This suit had changed my mind on that. Obsession is an under statement. And it looks so beautiful in the water too. My favorite full shit ever
