The Dottie is designed with a snug, performance fit. Long sleeves and a short-leg cut provide upper body warmth and leg freedom for active water use. The 2mm Yamamoto limestone neoprene is very stretchy — if you are between sizes, we recommend sizing down.

Which thickness is the Dottie 2mm for?
The Dottie 2mm is ideal for water temperatures of 68°F (20°C) and above. It provides light thermal protection and comfort for warm water and tropical conditions without the bulk of a thicker wetsuit.

What is the difference between the Dottie and the Lotte springsuit?
Both are 2mm long-sleeve springsuits made from Yamamoto limestone neoprene. The Dottie has a short-leg cut, providing coverage to mid-thigh for extra warmth and sun protection on the legs. The Lotte has a bikini-cut bottom, making it ideal for warmer conditions where maximum leg freedom is preferred.

What is Yamamoto neoprene?
Yamamoto neoprene is made from calcium carbonate derived from limestone, not petroleum. It is softer, lighter, and more flexible than conventional neoprene, and has a lower environmental impact. Abysse uses Yamamoto #39 limestone neoprene across the Dottie range.

What is ECOPRENE?
ECOPRENE is Abysse's proprietary material system combining Yamamoto limestone neoprene with recycled bottle linings. It is designed as a lower-impact alternative to petroleum-based wetsuits without compromising warmth or flexibility.

Does this springsuit offer sun protection?
Yes. The fabric is UPF 50+ rated, providing protection during extended sessions in the sun and water.

How does the fit run?
The Dottie is made with a very stretchy neoprene. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing down. Wetsuits should feel snug with no gaps at the lower back or neck.

Can I wear this for long sessions?
Yes. It is designed for extended sessions, offering light warmth, comfort, and freedom of movement in warm water conditions.

Is this springsuit suitable for active water use?
Yes. The Dottie is designed for surfing, swimming, and other active water use. The secure fit and back-zip entry keep it in place while you move.
