FAQS - SIZING, FABRIC, CARE
Please use our size charts as a general guide to help you select your size for our swimwear, activewear and neoprene suits. If you have a specific sizing question or would like more information, please e-mail: email@example.com. We are always happy to advise!
Q. Does your swimwear run true to size? Abysse suits run pretty true to size. We recommend measuring yourself following the guidelines above to find your perfect size and using our size charts for guidance. Please note, some of our styles do differ and have a unique fit. So in addition to using our size chart, we recommend also referring to the extra information provided on each product page for more specific guidance.
Q. I wear different sizes for bikini tops and bottoms, what size should I choose for your one-pieces? We would typically recommend going with the larger of the two sizes to ensure a comfortable fit all around.
Q. I am tall, but have a very slim waist and hips. What size should I choose for your one-pieces? We recommend going with a larger size to accommodate for height, typically the smaller size will be too short. Some of our suits have a more slim, high-waist than others, so these should still fit well around the waist.
Q. Do your suits have a shelf-bra? The following suits are fitted with an integrated shelf-bra for extra support: Zale, Kelea, Kai, Mary Lou. In addition to our size chart, please refer to the extra information provided on each product page for more specific size and fit recommendations.
Q. I want to buy a wetsuit, how should my suit fit? Your wetsuit should be a snug fit when new and will loosen off slightly once wet. A good fit is essential for keeping warm!
Q. What is your swimwear made of? Abysse swimwear and activewear is made in California from 100% recycled fabric derived from discarded fishing nets. We are very proud to be working with ECONYL, which regenerates nets into premium Nylon.
Q. What are your wetsuits made of? Abysse wetsuits are exclusively made from Japanese Limestone based neoprene. This is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional, petroleum-based neoprene. Our limestone based neoprene has ultra low resistance, enhanced comfort, superior mold ability, high heat retention, is lightweight and durable.
Q. How should I care for my wetsuits and swimwear?
Japanese Limestone Neoprene: Neoprene is a durable material made for ocean sports and activities to keep you warm. The downfall of neoprene is that it creates creases while folded, this is totally normal as neoprene is technically ‘foam’. Do not freak out if your wetsuit has creases! Wearing it in the ocean is the best cure. It will mold to your body and the foam will relax. Neoprene care: Make sure to wash your neoprene suits in cold water after every use and to store them flat, in a dry environment, away from the sun or moonlight.
Swimwear and Activewear: Our swimwear and activewear lines are both made out of 100% recycled ocean waste. More precisely, repurposed discarded ghost fishing-nets. They also need a little care in order to last longer.
Swimwear care: Hand wash and rinse in cold water, then hang in the shade.
Activewear care: You can use your washing machine but we recommend a gentle wash and natural drying in the shade.
